Take a bus to Castleton to enjoy a short trail !
The bus passed Chatsworth but I will leave it to another visit, arrived there after 30minutes , first bought a water and some snacks ,walked to Dale Valley. It’s a limestone valley in Derbyshire Peak District with steep sides over 50meters having Peveril Castle on top and Lose Hill behind.
We just walk back to the tourist center to reconfirm the way to Mam Tor Trail, the focus of today. The man there is very detailed and insisted us to buy a map so we have bought one.
If you take proper gears with drinks and snacks,
It is a lovely trail with family there. We just leisurely walk , chat and take photos and easily finish the trail. When I walk down the hill, try to approach a herding cow who seems annoyed and just uses its head to hound me away.😂
People used to drive up the hill but one road is closed by the landslide and during the walk, there are Odle Mine, Devils cavern and some other caves where peoples would spend more days camping with all different kind of camping cars parked around.
